iDataNet® is an application available on iTunes for iPads and Iphones allowing data from Adrena navigation software to be viewed with a Wifi connection.
The application allows each user to choose which Adrena data should be displayed. This means that each crew member can receive exactly the data that he or she needs depending on his role on board.
Thanks to iDataNet application, the data calculated by Adrena navigation software are sent through a Wifi connection (UDP protocole). It is possible to set several pages, each including, up to six information.
The communication between the ADRENA navigation software and the iDatNet application installed on an Apple device has to be set first to work.
Configuration in ADRENA :
To set the application iDataNet in the navigation software Adrena, just go to menu Settings > general settings > folder iDatanet and fill in the information requested (Port, PC, Wording, data…).
Data: select the data sent by Adrena.
Too many data sent on the network would impact the information flow quality. That is why all data are not sent but only the ones picked up by the user.
Each crew member can pick up the data he needs among all those offered by ADRENA and display them on his personal devise.
Configuration in iDataNet
Last version V2.1 released in May 2014 is now compatible with iOS 7.
To set the iDatanet pages, go to configuration:
Then into « Pages », add a new page and follow the instructions, a display like below can be set:

Once the pages set on your reception device, you will receive immediately the data, no need to try to have a look at the instruments displays. While racing, every crew member can hold his personal data display on the arm! Different data can be displayed simultaneously to several screens, so every crew member, depending his position on board, can receive his concerning data in real time.
It is also possible to follow the boat while racing or training with the data received in live.
This function is available in the Adrena range Standard and Pro.
